Keyhole Arch in California
AN AMAZING beacon of light beams out of a natural arch in a rock due to a rare natural phenomenon.
The almost heavenly orange glow can only be seen during a few weeks of every year when the sun sets directly behind the arch.
For the yellow rays to shine through the Keyhole Arch rock the tide must be just right and high enough to reflect the sun’s light perfectly.
There also needs to be a clear sky on the horizon so the setting sun catches the wave's reflection in the right manner.
The photos were taken by snapper Mark Brodkin who waded into the water at Pfeiffer Beach in California, US, to get the shots.

Keyhole Arch measures 20ft by 20ft and was formed naturally.
The beam of orange light only lasts for five minutes just before the sun finally sets.
Mark, 45, from Toronto, Canada, said: “The light was created by the sun and the reflection of the light from the water onto the arch’s inner wall.

“The orange light only appeared for the final few minutes of the sunset.
“It must be the right time of year for this effect to occur but when it all comes together it is amazing.
“This was the first time I had ever seen this effect and I was completely awestruck by it.”
